Clare West is our lead clinician, she qualified as an Orthotist over 25 years ago and has extensive experience in orthotic management of both adults and children. She has worked in the commercial, NHS and private sectors covering a wide variety of conditions and Orthoses.

Clare has represented her profession on both the Finance and Executive committees of BAPO and has also been a member of the NHS Orthotics Managers group.

Clare is able to provide bespoke orthotic solutions for all parts of the body to suit patient needs. This is major advantage to patients over area focused professions such are podiatrists who may not be able to see the whole patient need.

Qualified in 1989 as a State Registered Orthotist with the Health and Professions Council and has completed a Higher National Diploma in Orthotics. Since then she has undertaken a vast array of continuing professional development courses and is regular attender at all leading professional conferences. This includes liaison visits to Norway and Australia.

Worked at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Hospital, Reading as Principal Orthotist, Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry. During this time Clare was responsible for training and mentoring many newly qualified Orthotists and Orthotic degree students on clinic placements.

She is also a member of the British Association of Prosthetists & Orthotists.
